Landmark began operations in 2008, taking over the management of a property portfolio of commercial and residential properties previously managed by Knight Frank. With both residential and commercial properties in Kampala, Jinja and Mbarara on its books, Landmark's present portfolio includes performing properties with a total value of $10million.
Also on the books are as yet undeveloped properties in Kampala, Mukono, Kasese and Nakasongola that have been earmarked for development, with construction of a hotel and leisure complex in Kasese slated to begin in 2011, and development of 1500 Units of affordable apartments in Mukono to follow soon after. The restoration of the Jinja Landmark Apartments, next to the historical Amber Court club, are well underway and due to be completed by the first quarter of 2011.
With operations streamlined and overheads reduced by 80%, Landmark is ideally positioned to venture into new areas of potential, acquiring commercial clients outside the Habib circle, and entering into dialogue with mortgage and lending institutions to address Kampala's estimated low to middle income housing shortfall, which stands at 500,000 units.Visit Website
